DIY Fabric Spray

DIY Fabric SprayYou've read it before in my "Top 10 Air Fresheners For Your Home" post, but I'll tell you again: artificial fragrances are bad for your health, and the environment, and there's no place for them in your home! Why spray your furniture, fabrics, and clothing, with artificial fragrances, that can be harmful to your respiratory system, when you could be using natural scents, like essential oils, that contain therapeutic and soothing properties? Seems like a no-brainer to me!This DIY Fabric Spray recipe is super easy to make, effective and "green." You can use it to spray on cloth furniture, bedding, clothes in your closet, and car upholstery. It's also acts as a mild disinfectant, which makes it ideal for kids toys, and pet's bed and blankets.

Homemade Fabric Sprays & Air-Fresheners

are an easy alternative to toxic, commercial brands.

AND you can alter the scent to suite your mood!

Try and Energizing/Uplifting scent, by mixing two or three of the following:

  • Grapefruit
  • Tea Tree
  • Lemon
  • Eucalyptus
  • Peppermint
  • Basil
  • Rosemary
  • Bergamot

Or, a Calming/Soothing scent, by mixing two or three of the following:

  • Lavender
  • Sandalwood
  • Clary Sage
  • German Chamomile
  • Orange
  • Jasmine

Personally, my favorite combo is Grapefruit, Orange and Lavender (about 5-7 drops of each)! I love a mix of both uplifting and calming fragrances. AMAZING!It's important to use quality, 100% Pure Essential Oils, because a lesser quality could leave an oily residue behind! "No thanks, not on my white pillow" (is what I'd say if I owned white pillows.) Quality essential oils should completely evaporate. To tell whether your essential oils are of good quality, do a test: Put a drop on a piece of paper--if it completely evaporates within the hour, then you have a pure essential oil. If a oily mark remains, then you don't want to use it for your DIY Fabric Spray.Find wide range of Therapeutic Grade, Organic Essential Oils from Rocky Mountain Oils!! SHOP HERE!
